North West Mathibestad Unemployment Koketso Buys Business Glam Kraftz Youth Month Lerato Matlala. Unemployment is one of the main challenges South Africa is facing. According to figures released by Statistics South Africa last week, it stands at 27.7% with youth unemployment at 38.6%. To address this problem, government is encouraging South Africans to start their own businesses. One of the young people heeding this call is 27-year-old Koketso Buys. She is the owner of Glam Kraftz, a beauty and event management company. “It is a business that is based on everything glamorous. It is an umbrella of branches which include makeup, makeup classes, events, décor, planning, coordination and also includes what I call Glam Kraftz Empowerhand – it is basically me trying to give back to the community especially where I come from.”
