702 POLITICAL DEBATE PLACES MADIBENG MAYOR ‘ON TRIAL’

At 15:00 to 18:00 on 29 June, 2016, at the Brits City Hall, famed radio station 702 held a political debate with all representing political parties, including oppositions namely the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) with community members and NGOs present from the Local Municipality of Madibeng. FREEDOM FRONT PLUS PROFILES THEIR ELECTORAL LEGITIMACY

The Freedom Front Plus believes that South Africa is facing an abyss. South Africans are harassed by crime, unemployment, discrimination and land expropriation. Their solution is to defeat the ANC through coalition politics in network with other opposition parties. They wish to stop policies that hamper job-creation, end discrimination, stop black economic Empowerment (BBBEE), which is racially discriminative in their constitutional view. Their ethos on employment is by merit alone. The interim to the solution is to offer employment to minorities should an appropriate candidate from the BBBEE pool not be found within 90 days of recruitment. They believe in mother-tongue education, protection of minority rights and the right to private land ownership.

POLITICALLY MOTIVATED LOOTING IN MABOPANE

Due to the fact that the mayor of Tshwane has been changed, the people of Tshwane started looting in Attridgeville in Pretoria, the other communities started to attack the foreign businesses. In Mabopane, at least two people were killed while they were busy looting. It was traumatic for one of the community members of Mabopane who found a dead person in her yard early in the morning on 21 June 2016.

DA CANDIDACY AND OFFICIAL OPPOSITION TO LOCAL ANC

The Democratic Alliance (DA) is the ANC’s biggest threat in Madibeng. With the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) slowly solintering and ‘converting’ like-minded leftist ANC members, it means the rest is ‘up for grabs’ by the DA. The DA is doing front-line campaign work and door-to-door visits in rural townships to the extent that the majority of the membership has ‘blackened.’

ANC CONTINUES THE LEGACY OF APARTHEID – BBBEE

The African National Congress (ANC) continues the legacy of apartheid by implementing and justifying by broad-based black economic empowermnet (BBBEE) unconstitutional practice. This policy applied on national, provincial and municipal lever is to be contested in the Constitutional Court. A black majority excluding a white minority from employment on the basis of race is racism. 20 years elapsed is more than enough to redress the injustices of the past. We face second generation of free-borns who do not understand why they should be punished or an era they did not live in.
