QUESTIONS OVER MMAKAU WARD 19 WASTE TRANSFER STATION

The mortar has still to be put to brick for the reconstruction of the Mmakau Ward 19 waste transfer station.

A budget of R2,5-million must be tucked nicely somewhere in the Madibeng Local Municipality coffers.

The original waste transfer station was allegedly destroyed by protesting members of the community last year.

A total allocation of R2-million has been set aside for the Oukasie waste transfer station, for the financial year 2015/2016, while no budget has been allocated for the Hebron waste transfer station.

A sum of R7-million has been set aside for the library in Mmakau, for the financial year 2016/2017.

On another level, amounts of R6,8-million and R4,95-million have since been budgeted for the Madidi Multi-Purpose Centre and the Dithabaneng Multi-Purpose Centre, respectively.
